The Mayas 2012 predictions- What's it all about?

The Mayas 2012 predictions are arousing greater and greater curiosity around the world as this date moves ever closer. Is it all just hype, panic or doomsday type thinking? Have you heard that the Mayan Calendar predicts the end of the world? Or maybe your interest in the Mayas 2012 predictions have come from the prophecy of the most famous prophets, Nostradamus. It is my belief that an understanding of this calander is essential in today's modern fast paced world for making sense of events we are seeing around us. Much of the hype surrounding this subject is of the "Mayans predict end of world in 2012" apocalyptic type thinking. This however, is a rather simplistic and even child like view which has assisted in discouraging further investigation of this fascinating topic by ordinary people. This however, is changing. The Mayas 2012 message is spreading fast.

 - Mayas 2012 Predictions - The Truth

It is important to note that the word 'apocalypse' as translated from the ancient language used to write what we know as the "book of revelations" actually means 'the great revealing'. It literally means that great truths which, in the past, may have been easily kept hidden, are finding there way into the consciousness of common men and women.

What is happening today is that we are becoming more aware, ethically and morally, and challenging the version of truth that is being sold to us by the world's 'leaders' and our media. This may include the truth of '911' or the truth behind 'modern medicine', or the truth about the Iraq/Afghan invasion and occupation, dental mercury, vaccines, genetically modified foods, suppression of cancer & Aids cures. The list could go on and on. It is no surprise that many people have become aware of the Mayan Calendar and 2012 after becoming aware of the truth of one or more of these topics. The Mayan Calander is a lot more than a method of marking time like our current Gregorian calander. It is a map of evolution, culminating in 2012 and a new era of enlightenment. This may be dismissed as pure folly by people who have had no introduction to this fascinating worldview but it is my belief that an understanding of the Mayan Calander is essential to understanding the day to day events unfolding and affecting everyone.
